THANK YOU!

As we prepare for our opening night show, I can’t help but to take a moment where I can sit back, take it all in, and let the gratitude wash over me. Showgirls are aflutter, the skies and roads are bustling with folks hustling to get to Chicago, last minute rhinestoning is the 11th hour tradition. In our 5th year, Jeezy’s Juke Joint has grown immensely. From production value to the sheer audience and cast numbers, there’s no doubt that this magical weekend has come a long way. In this moment of gratitude and reflection, the calm before the storm, I would like to acknowledge the incredibly generous sponsors and patrons of the 2016 season. Without these businesses and individuals we wouldn’t be able to grow and evolve as we are. I’m not just thankful for your sponsorship and donation, I’m thankful for your belief and push. I’m thankful for the like-minded small businesses who believe in JJJ. I’m thankful for the women-owned, Black-owned, queer-owned, local businesses who have spread the word. I’m thankful for the national and out-of-state organizations that have sent unwaivering support even without being present. I’m thankful for the leaders of the burlesque community who have seen JJJ as something for all of us. I’m thankful to the performers, the hustlers, the starving artists, the strippers, the buskers, OUR PEERS who have donated their hard earned dollars to this seasons endeavors. And of course, we’re thankful to everyone who’s coming to the show!

So please, take a moment to check out these amazing businesses and individuals who have made this possible. There is no us without them!
